 I was wondering if anyone ever had this and what the problem might be. I replaced my original brakes at 135 K a few months ago. ( I do almost exclusive turnpike driving). I noticed the other day while going up the turnpike I had to hit the brakes really hard a for about a half second the red brake light lit up then went off. Someone suggested to me I may need to add a little brake fluid but I checked it and its pretty full. Anybody ever have this happen and can tell me what caused it ?

Also, is it normal to add brake fluid periodically to a Marauder ?

It's normal to add brake fluid to any car.

The brake pads or shoes wear causing the caliper pistons or brake cylinder pistons to travel further thereby lower the fluid level.

If the fluid was low enough the sensor could have thought the fluid level was down.
