I came home from 7 days of "Fun & Adventure" in the Florida Keys and the Marauder battery would not even open the door locks!!!:argue::mad2::eek:

Checked with a VOM and 6.8 volts was all it had....3 year battery with 38 months on the clock.....suppose it just died or did something (auto leveling rear end/passive security maybe) drain it??

Got a new battery since the old one would have required a long charge to even test it.....not worth it since it was out of warranty!!:shake:

New battery and it seems fine??

Get a current draw test done. This will show how much current is being used while the vehicle is off.

I will but while I had the battery (what was left of it) out I connected my battery charger to see if I could save my settings and heard the air suspension pump trying to run??

That would make me think there is an air leak in the air ride. I just removed a set of air bags yesterday from a Marauder that was wrecked about a month ago, and the air bags were still holding air.

Could be??

I'll turn it off today and see where it sits in the morning tomorrow??

GET??? You guys must like to spend money, all you need is a $4.99(on sale)DVM from Harbor Freight... Remove the neg cable and connect the meter leads to the battery and cable with meter set to the 200 millamp range, if it reads over 40-50ma you have a problem... I like to see less than 40ma but some vehicles do draw more...

I'll also guess the likely problem is the pump cycling due to a leak in the air bag, if that's the case a current draw test isn't necessary...

You're kidding right?
You can get the test done for FREE at any Discount auto parts store, without pulling any cables off.

Left the air suspension off for 2 days and it did not go down so that ain't it!!:shake:

Could be it was just the battery's "time"??
