Posting this for a friend

Im selling the engine out of my Mustang project.

This engine and its parts have never been run and a few parts are still new in the box.

The long block consists of:

Teksid Aluminum block
S197 motor mount adapter plates
04 Cobra Manley H-Beam rods
04 Cobra Forged 8-bolt crank
04 Cobra Manley Forged pistons
04 Cobra heads w/ fresh valve seals and fresh valve job
Accufab billet 60-2 crank trigger wheel
-10 AN plumbing for the coolant lines out of water pump to the heads
Canton oil pan baffle
Canton road race oil pan w/ gasket
Kick Ass Blue Ford Racing valve cover set
MMR side bolt kit
ARP main studs
ARP head studs
All new OEM Ford gaskets
all new bearings and seals everywhere. This motor was built with a Teksid block and the rest of the parts were out of a donor 04 Cobra crate engine that had 1 burned piston. That piston was replaced with a brand new one and the rest of the rotating assembly is like new or new. It has a modified Cobra timing cover on it(modified to use 1/2" magnetic crank sensor)

asking $5500 OBO for the long block itself.

Also for sale:

-American Racing stainless long tube headers for 04 cobra. Id like to get $800 for these OBO. Or 900 with an S197 X-pipe. The outlets have been modified with V-band flanges on them, but if you wanted i could weld the transition right back to it like it was from ARH.

-BRAND NEW Eaton Blower off an 04 cobra crate engine. This thing has 0 miles and was ported by myself. Its got a big port done to it. Also all the holes were thread for NPT fittings. Id llike to see $700 for this OBO.

-04Cobra lower intake for Blower, not modified, not ported BRAND NEW OFF CRATE ENGINE... $350

-Aeromotive fuel rails -8AN for 99-04 4V. $180 shipped, brand new, just bolted to engine. Come with -8an fittings

-8x Seimens 72 lb fuel injectors brand new(ford style obviously) $400

-04 Cobra water pump w/ pulley

-04 Cobra intercooler plate with -10AN fittings welded on.

I would sell this entire setup here for $9000 obo. Anyone with a serious cash offer feel free to email me. Shipping is of course available via Freight at your expense. The Electrmotive Tec GT ECU, coils, and plug wires to go along with it are also available for sale for an additional $1500. An unterminated wiring harness (brand new) would be included as well as all the sensors you would need to make it run in your hot rod or race car project.

So $10,500 for all of that stuff which is a mind blowing bargain.

Here it is on the stand during assembly and mock up...

This sucker is gonna go for about $2000.00 obo Fresh rebuild with 0 miles.

From what the ad says, apparently he swapped the rotating assembly from a Cobra iron Block to a Teksid Aluminum block.

If this is the case, Id RUN from this engine.
No offense, that just is not good practice.

No offense, that just is not good practice.

Why?
As long as all the gaps, clearances and runouts were checked and confirmed to be correct, what difference does it make?

Also something to consider is the price. Now a days you can get an aluminator long block with warranty for 1k more delivered to you door. Never skimp when you have an engine apart.
