Lincoln LS center consle stack trim pieces

Taking a stab here, but has anyone with a Lincoln LS ever removed the center console stack trim pieces?

I removed the LS storage bin cover, and any screws (including a plastic locking pin) that I could see, but I still could not remove the storage bin itself.

It seems like the bin is the start of a chain that allows the dash pieces to be removed.
