It took me a year almost to the day, to get all my supporting mods together for my 2.8" pulley upgrade / dyno tune .
I got the New blower plate with IAT sensor machined, ex-cal II, GT40 fuel pump, pully, two belts, new maf, new intake parts
Here is the thread;

I am heading to Indiana Tuesday AM for Lonnie@BOC to swap pullies, do the fuel rail pressure sensor vacume thingie.

then he is going to dial in my air/fuel and tune my trans schedule.
It does not look like I will be able to retain the factory airbox as I would like.
I am upgrading the Maf as well, Does the Lightning maf or the SCT mafs bolt up to the factory airbox?
I think I just asked justbob a couple nites ago, he said no?, but I am so pumped, I can't think.
Didn't I see someone hide an open element filter inside the factory airbox?
If I can't work something like that out;
I am fabbing up plan B a home made JLT which is the open filter, straight tube, rubber & plastic elbow(s),reducer, maf/filter adapter.

Or make the hole in the air box bigger.

The 4" MAF WILL fit the 3 1/2" zip tube, thats what I did.

I don't like the factory intake so much.
I do dislike the look of an open air element.

I don't like the factory intake so much.
I do dislike the look of an open air element.

PHP has a nice SS surround that encloses the element.

So it's the look, not the function?

By keeping the air element in a housing it would also stay cleaner & require less maintance.
