Heres the delima.. I'm doing the Eaton swap in the spring, spending winter shopping for parts and kicking off the project once the weather warms up. I know I need to get a group 58 battery and a new battery tray (pn listed in Eaton swap parts list thread) The problem is my battey is starting to go and needs to be replaced. Instead of buying a new battery then replacing it again in the spring, can I just buy the group 58 battery and tray now and mount it in the stock location? I would then move both battery and tray to the other side during the swap.

ditto... I'm moving my battery to the trunk when I start the swap in a month or so... putting a big Ice cell on the drivers side.. Did ALOT of R&D with an ice cell on my 03 cobra and made about a dozen of them for a few members on the Mustang forums. Now Canton makes a copy of what I was making 6-7 years ago...

IMO, the Group 58 set up looks OEM. Really pleased that Dave went this route with my car.

+1 doing the same thing for the exact reason so I can use a ice/resv in that place were battery has been going. Already got a rear batt relocate kit from summit. I prefer a ice/resv over the oe cobra resv.

I have never been a big fan of rear mount either Dave just really want a ice/resv and thats the only good spot for it.
