Whatever size you get, you need to make sure you maintain a 3-5% tire height front to back to keep the traction control happy.

Yep....

The rear tires need to be at least 3% bigger than the fronts.

what do you mean, if i select 235/45-18 for front and 245/50-15 for rear, is this okay for the TC? look here: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

If there is at least a 3% difference in the diameter than you'd be OK.

I take it your having a hard time finding the stupid 245/55/18's

Search for 255/55/18's. Much bigger selection offered.

You can run 255/55/18s on the rear with the stock front 235/50/18 size. There are lots of manufacturers that offer the 255/55/18 size.

i think, the 255/55 combination looks not so good, or not? to much sidewall, isnīt it?

Sidewall difference should only be about 5-6 millimeters from the OEM 245/55/18 size. Hardly a huge difference. Personally, I like the stance with the 255's. I had the GoodYear Eagle F1 DS-G3 and notice very little difference in the handling characteristics of the car with the 255's.

I've got 255/55/18 rears also (Kumho Ecsta STX) and the sidewall difference isn't much visually. If anything, I like that it increases the rake a bit since I'm running the stock front size.

I got finally my new tires: 245/50-18 for front, 255/55-18 for back, all from KUMHO!
Next month, after snow and ice, i will mount them on my MM!
Which pressure do you recommend?

That size (245/55/18) should be easier to get now that the Camaro is using it..no?
