First of all, apologies for posting a Mustang question in our Marauder forum. The Mustang guys don't seem to understand what I'm talking about!

Ok, so I finally bought a nice, practical second car so my Marauder doesn't have to go outside in winter or inclement weather. The obvious choice is a 2011 Mustang, right?

Well, anyway... I drive to and from work along a twisty road (Hines Drive) that is constantly shifting the sun between the 1 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions. In my Marauder, it was no problem at all, I would simply flip the #1 visor down and to the side, then flip the #2 visor down to cover the front -- voila! 100% coverage from the sun.

Of course, that's not working with the Mustang and single visor and I spend my time flipping the sun visor between the side and front. Yes, I could (and do) wear a baseball hat but it's not as effective.

Has anyone else experienced this frustration when switching to a different vehicle and how did you solve it, please?

Thanks and apologies again for being a tad off-topic!

I never use a sun-visor, just sun glasses when needed, my wife however always uses one, and loves the twin visor in the MM,

I just use sunglasses. The last time I flipped down my visor(to stick directions up there), I found something I tucked up there about 3 years ago. SCORE!

Sorry, I should have added... and I'm constantly wearing sunglasses. (But the idea was a good one).

Unless you can find another car that has the same size visors with the 2nd visor...... your SOL.

Ignore the sun and relish in the fact you drive a Mustang and Marauder, I've got the same garage and I use the visors in neither.

Well I removed the driver sunvisor in my marauder as soon as I got it home (8 years ago)

You check your local auto stores for a clip on shade for the front or use a some tint?

I like the dual visors, my '93 MGM had them and were sorely missed when I got the '07, was a surprise when I found the Marauder has them...

If they'll fit you can check the CV & MGM for availability in different years, I believe my mom's '03 MGM has them...

Yep!

I really like the dual visors, especially when driving a windy road as you described.

I just bought a used '99 Ranger and I immediately noticed that it didn't have the dual sunvisors...
plus Marianne noticed that neither visor had vanity mirror lights!
"Ruh-Row!"
I did a little searching on the various Ranger Forums and found out that Explorers have dual sunvisors with vanity mirrors
and it is a perfect fit bolt-in (screw-in actually!) to a Ranger.
I just went to the local junkyard and found a set in my exact medium grey color from an Explorer!....
I even scored the complete overhead wiring harness and an overhead console with compass and external temperature gauge!
I'll post up pictures when I do the swap.
