Hey all - Hope all is well.

Whenever I start mine, mostly first of the day start - the motor seems to rev up for a few seconds. Is this normal? Does it occasionally when it's been warmed up as well. The idle seems to return to normal quickly. It just think it's strange for it to rev especially when it's been sitting and not a good thing.

Also, does one clean the IAC chingas with carb cleaner? I think it might be a good idea to give it some love. Thanks in advance.

It's normal.

I'd clean the IAC & the MAF with MAF cleaner ONLY.

Thats called the cold start flare up. Im going to eliminate it from my tune. I don't like the idea of my car sitting for a month then hitting the key and it jumps to 1500 RPM with no oil circulated.

I dont like this either as you can hear the engine rattle for a split second.

Do what Joe Walsh did and added some oil pump thing. Not sure what it's called but contact him about it.
