I've got a customer with a Ford GT that is completely off the hook. It has twin turbochargers instead of the factory supercharger. It produces in excess of 1000 horsepower. He regularly participates in hi speed events and was dealing with an anoying brake vibration (sound familiar).
He brought his car to the dealership and had us install these super aggressive Hawk "scrubber" pads. He drove the car for about 20 miles driving in a prescribed method including braking to a stop repeatedly from about 40 mph multiple times. When he returned the finish on the rotors was just like a very fine lathe cut. Amazing.
We then reinstalled his original pads and he was ready to go after reseating them.
I wonder if there may be a compatible Hawk pad for the Baer system? I will do a little digging to try to find out.
Anybody else heard of this?

Why not just put the rotors on the lathe?

The Baer kit uses C5 corvette pads, if they have em for the GT I imagine they have similar C5 pads too.
I've never heard of the specific pads, but the method of scrubbing the old pad build up with high speed harsh stops is not new. I have the Baer kit, and anytime I get some vibration coming on I scrub as recommended by stoptech, and it works every time. 35K miles on the Baer rotors for me now.

That is just plain incredible. A GT-TT is pretty high up on the top of my list of wishlist cars in my lifetime, even just to drive one would be incredible.
