Looks good although I like the green effect on the stock cluster and gauges. I'll be upgrading my spare cluster to LED's soon.

Nice work! I would love to upgrade the interior lighting (dome/map/foot well lights) do you have the sizes for those bulbs and where did you get them from? Also info on the gauge cluster please.

What were the man hours and cost associated with this upgrade....and do they come in green....I also like the green better.....yours looks great. And do you have a link for your exterior lighting upgrades and info on that?

to awnser for SID210SA and ctrlaven as for the interior lighting i purchase the bulbs from superbrightleds.com they carry any type and color as for the foot well i used the flex lite led strips that you can buy at any autozone it was the 24inch white lite strip.after installing them in place i soder a 194 wegde base it plug then in w/o cutting or tapping into any wires.as for the dash cluster i had 2 1/2 hours and less then 50.00 dollar into it,as for the led lights you can put any color to replace the incadasint bulbs you just have to pick which color you want so if you want it all green just replace the 6, 194 wedge bulbs and enjoy. i also did a friends 04 mm in blue with red needels so it looks like the dash of a VW i thought it was ok but wasnt me! if your wanting to do the change just hit me back and i can talk you thru it but i wasn`t that hard. but i also did my tail lights, reverse light, corner lights and front turn signals are also converted to leds. the only thing that still not LED is my A/C controls and the light under the hood, but not for long.with all the LED changes i redused power consumtion 65% then with the stock bulbs my volts now read over 15 in the day and with all lights on im still 14.7 volts.

So if I just replace the LED lights in the dash to White it will be white? does't it have a Green film?

From the look on the video, white leds render white gauges. If you want green, I think you will have to use green leds. I just bought a whole bunch of leds from v-leds but haven't had the chance to swap out yet. I did get a pair of blue 194 and a pair of green 194 bulbs to test in the lower cluster by the shifter.

To get the white he got, he had to scrape off the green film. The bulbs themselves factory in the cluster are white, just shown through a green filter. For example I have SMD white strip LED lighting in my cluster, but the colors are still factory, just brighter.

All the gauge lights are white. The filters are what causes the lights to look green.
Adding blues LEDs will give you Cyan.
Some good info...
Which Color LEDs should I use?
For best results the LED color should be the same as the lens color or if bulb is behind a clear lens, use the appropriate color for turn and brake light functions. As an example: a red lens will filter out all but the red portion of the light so if the light is all red, none or very little light will be blocked by the lens. The light from a White LED contains very little light in the red portion of the visible spectrum so most of the light would be filtered out by a red lens.

Hey Ed! Did you use the x, x4, x5 or x6? Regular or high power smd? Thanks!
p.s. why's this in the "test forum"? just curious...

I used the 5 smd 360 style LEDs for all my 194/168 bulbs.

Removed all the green filter and replaced with 5K pure white.

There are six BULBS that provide illumination in the cluster.
I have some nice 5 SMD white bulbs that work really good.
PM me.
