Perhaps Rex has been so busy "bonding" he has not had time to post.

Sorry, guys!
Short rotation home this time, so other than the drive back from Delaware, haven't driven the car as much as I'd like. (Yes Sherman, your prediction was correct!)
Had a blast driving it home from Dave's place. Learned real quick that a judicous right foot is required. Let's just say the car is, ahhhh, more "responsive" under throttle than it was N/A. :drive: ------> :D
Looks like there will minimal impact on gas mileage, provided I keep my foot out of it. Averaged just over 20 mpg, but holding that is prolly easier said than done (re-read provisio above...). ;)
Very pleased with the install. Stopped for gas a couple times en-route, and popped the hood to check fluid levels, etc. (aw heck, just to show it off), immediately had folks around the car asking questions about it, HUGE ego booster. Dave did a super job on the installation, very clean and professionally done. Between Dave's shakedown, and the drive home, have about 700 miles on the car and no mechanical issues. Fires right up, drives very smoothly, well mannered at highway speeds. Purrs like a kitten at light throttle, but kitty turns into a lion when you step on it!
Couple minor issues that I'm going to follow up on (neither of which pertain to Dave's workmanship): Exploring a PVC retro-fit. Most of the Eaton swaps to date have eliminated the PVC system and use breather caps. That works okay, but at idle, I'm getting fumes in the car. Justbob did a PVC retrofit on Bazzlebear's (a.k.a. TFB) car, and he and I are communicating on that. If I can get it squared away, will take pics and post up under the Eaton swap parts thread.
Other issue relates to blower noise. I'm not referring to the whine (LOVE that!:D), rather, at idle, especially under load (car in gear, or A/C kicks in) there is a pronounced rattle from the blower. It goes away over 1,500 rpm or so. Apparently the rattle is fairly normal, so either I'll need get used to it; but I would prefer to find a way to quiet it down if I can. If anybody has suggestions (jdenning002 thought shimming the tensioner might help), feel free to pass them along.
Dave posted up a few pics he took before I picked up the car, I'm going to take a few more and will update this thread when I get them.
Overall thoughts: I LOVE IT! Loved my car before, but driving it now is much more enjoyable. THIS is the way Marauders should have come from the factory.
As for going the Eaton swap route; would do it again in a heartbeat. Shopping for parts, picking up info and knowledge about supercharging along the way, working with Dave, getting to know other E/S guys; all that made the final outcome that much better. The price tag wasn't bad, either. I need to do a final tally, but the informal total for parts, Dave's labor, and the dyno tune came in at right around $4K.
:banana2:WORTH EVERY PENNY OF IT! :banana2:
One more plug: If there are any of you east coast guys considering an Eaton swap, and you're looking for an installer, ImpalaSlayer's THE MAN! :2thumbs:

I already told Dave that if the stars aligned and I went boost, I would be taking time off work heading to his shop to do a team effort install.
Lots of luck Rex and be careful out there!

If I have one regret about the install, it would be that I wasn't able to work with Dave on the swap, but with my current work schedule, just getting the car to/from DE took some coordination.
Tell you what, if you can swing it, boost is THE way to go, and IMO, an Eaton swap is the ****znits.

thanks for the kind words Rex.
i had a blast doing another car. half the fun of owning my car is building it the way i want it and not buying stuff off the shelf so i kinda got to do it all over again with Rex's car. Rex was a super easy guy to deal with along the way and didnt bug me at all! he just let me work and i gave him almost daily updates. glad to hear you are loving the car Rex, i loved driving it myself, quiet and fast. everyone knows when my car is coming theres no sneaking up on anyone, with the blue you are really going to surprise some people.

Congrats Rex!
I'm glad that you are really enjoying your newfound TORQUE!
I picked up an Eaton swap 'starter kit' this Summer, but am currently out of any modding money to complete the kit.
When I do get all the parts, I am going to be bugging/picking Dave's brain for all the details.
(Dave will quickly grow to hate me!...:P)
I already am psyched about big Frozen Boost intercooler that I had no idea about, until Dave posted pictures of it....:bows:
It is on my swap parts list!

No major kills, by any means. Will PM you with a couple of stories...

Dave's a great guy. If he could put up with me, he'll definitely be able to handle you. ;)
The intercooler heat exchanger is SWEET! And Dave's installation of it in my car is top notch. Literally looks OEM. Does an excellent job, too, really pulls the heat out of the I/C. Awaiting receipt of my Aeroforce Interceptor, when I get it installed I'll post up some IAT numbers to validate performance of the intercooler.
