will marauder front and rear sway bars fit on a 99 GM? I saw that people were putting them on 03 and 04 CVs.
Thanks

I don't know if this even helps, but there are the two different types of EDIT: FRONT swaybars. The early type use a tapered shaft(like mine) on the bar side, the end links are 180 degreees, on the spindle it fits in vertically with a pinch bolt.
Whereas the later type just bolts on and the bar side of the link is 180 degrees, and the upper end is 90 degrees, bolts to the spindle horizontally.
I'm not sure which type your '99 has, the early or late type, sorry but you might take a look @ them and see which type they are.

Yes I feel sure they will fit your '99 Grand Marquis because I just yesterday put in front and rear Marauder sway bars from an '04 MM into my 2009 Grand Marquis.
I did have to purchase rear brackets from the dealer ($21) to effect the change; my car had no rear sway bars at all from the factory. (It is a heavily decontented ex-Avis rental return).
The resulting change in handling and stability and control is phenomenal, I put 100 miles on them, and some of it through winding mountain roads today.

The rear bar will fit with no issues. Many of these Marauder owners forget or are unaware that in 2003 the Panthers received a revised front suspension. A Marauder front sway bar will only fit 2003 and newer cars. If you want a stiffer front bar you need one from a 98-02 panther.

Where does the swaybar endlink attach to the MM?
Spindle? Lower control arm?
Any measurements might be helpful

It appears it is in the spindle/knuckle. And IIRC the aftermarket adco bars mount to the lower control arm.

So would front and rear sway bars from a 95 GM with the performance suspension package work?

The front sway bars are interchangeable from 1992 up to and including 2002. The rear sway bar is interchangeable from 1992 to present. So.... yes both 95GM parts will fit your 99.

Can you explain to me exactly what is different that makes it "not fit"?
-that would be sweet.

front bar end link mounting positions are different on 2003-up. You could use rear bar from 1992 - up. And go addco front bar for front and make a world of differance . Front bar on pre 2003 has hole eye up on ends of bar ,later bar has hole horizontal on bar . Hope this helps.

Ford redesigned the panthers for 2003. They switched to a hydroformed frame and re-designed the suspension. On the rear the shocks were moved to the outside of the framerail for better handling and axles widened to allow for the changed wheel offset.
The front k member was changed to aluminum for weight reduction, rack and pinion steering was introduced for better steering response and feel, and the suspension was redesigned for better handling. This re-design included the design of the front sway bar and its mounting points.

Thank you for the part in red, I already knew all of that other stuff.
Good to know for future reference, I appreciate it.

Does anyone know some part numbers for some end links and greasable bushings for the 95 GM sway bars going on my 99 GM? Thanks.
