I've been hearing some knocking comin from the front section of the engine. I can't point out the noise from just looking at it. I can only say that it's clicking and it's getting louder. I posted a vid on the tube with a part in which the noise s very distingushable as I walk aound the car.

Sounded like a rod knock in your last video. Can you post up a closeup video of your engine.

if i were you , i would pull the motor tear it down, and inspect the rotating assembly the bottom line is there is no quick way around an engine knocking as bad as yours in the video you posted, i know you may not want to yank the motor, but better to take your time and fix it right rather than let it get worse , or bandaid it

10300 Miles old. And I figured it out guys...lmfao. It was leaking Oil. No bs I had to get a new gasket and let it sit for awhile..cranked it up and wala no knock. Still needs a tune-up tho. I'll post more picks as soon as I get it out the shop. Its in for body repairs after I was HIT by a driver on her way to wine & spirits (classix)

Will do as soon as the autobody shop gives me my car back. I'll just take it to the Ford dealer and have them do a complete Tune-up.

:bigcry:It was clicking. It was definitely coming from the front of my engine. The noise seemed to be coming from the pullies. Now some ppl in philly have told me that a noise like that is regular for a car with that many miles( thats bulllllllllllllll*****tttttttt ttttttttttt:argue:). My brother had a 86 mustang hatchback 5.0 and his car sounded like heaven:bows:. It may have been from me leaking oil tho. My oil gauge does not work properly so I didn't kno that I had been leaking oil. Hopefully when the body shop gives me my car back I'll be able to post a complete vid on youtube of my car in and out.:mad2:

Mine used to click on start up. it was a tiny piece of the magnet in the starter floating around. I took the piece out over two years ago and still no issues. Sound anything like this? I have heard quite a few MM, GM, and CV's with the noise.

If you think its the pulleys, pull the belt off and start it up, that will eliminate any accessories. Explain what you mean that your oil gauge isn't functioning properly? Low oil pressure would make chain tensioners loose and sound like knocking. We need a video or soundclip to give you a better idea. Some ticking on the drivers side of the engine is common, but never a knock.

It was the pulleys, they were loose according to the body shop. Therefore that problem is finally solved. I get the car back on Monday after I get the oil pump and oil pan.
ps. and no the noise I had sounded like a pennie hitting against wood. Just not loud but loud enough for me to kno there was a problem.

I wish my noise was as simple as repairing an oil leak or replacing a gasket. I have been fighting this noise for about a month now. I think im going to have to just suck it up and pay the mechanic for what he said it was. He said i can come to the shop when he starts digging into the motor so I will be able to see the damage and know that he is not trying to screw me.
