Hello family
I just had my rear axle issue fixed by relocating the axle bearing and putting in new seals. Now my other issue is my ac is pumping air out of windshield vents instead of the main vents. I'm reading that a few o rings can fix the issue now. I'm mechanically inclined I just don't know where these o rings that need replacing are located please help me out here

Do a search for EATC....the explination should be in there...there are 4 O rings that you should repace....they are in the EATC unit...you need to take the unit out of the car and open it up where you will find the cylinders...take them apart carefully...and waa laa...you will find the o rings.

Where can you purchase these o-rings from?

McMaster-Carr, but you have to purchase 100 of them.

you can get them from auto zone or oriely's....I prefer the latter....better quality o rings. and you dont have to buy them a hundred at a time....although its much much cheaper to do it that way

If the o-rings aren't made out of silicone, you'll be doing the repair again.

I was actually curious about this, I figured that if you had to do the repair in the first place you'd probably have to do it again. Are silicone o-rings the "set it and forget it" repair solution for these things? Or is it inevitable that it'll have the same problem again at some point?

Th problem with the original o-rings is they got hard and didn't from a seal. That can only be because the wrong o-rings were used. The silicone o-rings will most likely outlast the car.

What are the OEM's comprised of? Plastic?

Don't know but I've replaced some that actually will break into tiny pieces when I remove them. Very hard and brittle.
