According to Autoweek (http://www.autoweek.com/article/20101027/CARNEWS/101029897), the surviving 1964 James Bond Aston Martin DB-5, actually used in Goldfinger and Thunderball and originally purchased by a collector for $12,000, recently sold at the RM Auctions in London for $4,600,000!
The article in the magazine cites additional details not in the on-line edition, such as the color of the paint.
Clearly, the special color of the paint is the reason the car was sold at such astronomical pricing.
The color?
"Silver Birch."
Hang on to those Silver Birch Marauders, guys 'n' gals! They are clearly appreciating far beyond the more drab Marauders out there. But be patient. It may take 47 years to realize such a return on your investment.
