Stock block prolly won't handle 600 rwhp, will either need to go to a CI Cobra or an Aluminator.
If the latter, plan on around $6,500 for the long block and $5,000 + for the blower set up.

The stock block and handle well over 600 whp, internals are the problem :)
To the OP you should upgrade your blower, you'll have a hard time getting to 600whp with that 1200. It can support that level of power, but you'll have a lot less belt issues etc. if you go up to something you don't have to spin so hard.

Don't forget fuel system upgrade and possibly an E85 conversion.

Before Christmas pretty much eliminates to option of building an engine, gotta get something just about ready to drop in. I'd say put in an aluminator, it's probably the only thing you can get in such short notice.

+2 on this Larry. From what I can tell, Dennis has done some nice work and made some customers very happy recently. I would hope that will continue in your situation given the length of time he had your car in his shop (2 different occasions this summer and fall if I recall) and the additional issues that raised up while under his care.
Needless to say, I am subscribing to this thread.:coolman: Sorry all this has come down on you Larry. I am hopeful that Dennis will connect with you and work something out to your satisfaction.

I just saw this post, I was sick when Larry called me.
Larry has had lots of issues with this car, it has 130K on the clock, it came back here and I replaced the transmission for free, prior to this he had 24" wheels on the car, members here made fun of that, he also had a stock drive shaft and it fractured the rear tail shaft at 130MPH, Larry told me this, yes the the transmission failed again once he installed the 18" OEM wheels back and a new drive shaft, Why I do not know, but I did what was right.
I replaced that for free, I sent the converter in to PI and it was cleaned for free only shipping cost was charged. I gave him a free console cover, his was trashed, I charged him for the trans cooler, since of the second failure, then the air ride compressor went out, shorting out the the speed sensor taking out the speedometer, compass and cruise control, Russel aka Ford wrench helped us fix this at Bozard Ford, Larry was only charged my cost on this, no mark up. Not the time delivering the car there or picking it up. I drove the car off and on while the car was here dialing in the shift points to exactly 6K, it ran perfect. It was ready for Larry to pick it up.
Then Larry was shot along with his friend, when I heard this I posted it here, I reduced his bill and I paid a young man to drive half way to meet Larry at Tifton Ga so he would not have to make the drive to Orange Park, the car ran perfect with a personal friend who is 61 years old and he followed Mark there to meet Larry, no Mark is not my mechanic, he helps me clean up and run errands, Mark never even went into boost.
Larry was not charged for the gas to there nor my employees time, or the friends that I paid to follow him.
Larry called me and told me he had stopped and filled the car up, and was driving 80 MPH when the friend that was following him called him on his cell phone and said there was smoke coming from the back of the car, Larry called me and also stated the check engine light was on and it had a FRPS error this happens at WOT, he cleared the codes and then he pulled over and popped the hood and seen oil, I did the only thing I could do at this point.
I told Larry I would have the car towed back to here and pay for it, or he could try and get the car home and then call me, I told Larry to check the oil it was changed here, and I personally checked the oil, this car ran great it had 4:56 gears do to the 24" tires till we installed the 4:10 gears and that is all that was done to the car besides the air pump replacement, Larry said after adding oil the car quit smoking but was missing.
I told him then the engine was hurt and call me when he got home, I would have the car brought back here, Martin is on this now so Larry can make the call, if it was me the cheapest way out is a re'manufactured 03 Cobra motor, it comes with a 3 year warranty, I am glad Larry and his friend are recovering, there is still no word on who shot them, and because of Larry's circumstances I would have installed the engine, but I know Martin will take care of him as I would.
