What I thought to be a coil problem turned out to be not as I replaced all coils and still can't get full power while gear is in drive. I took it to a buddy and explained that I can only get full wot power if I manually drop down then shift through gears 1 and 2 but as soon as I shift into drive the car then just jerks and act as if wants to cut off! Then he told me I could have some kind of vacuum transmission leak. I'm not sure what that is so I put the car in drive and turned my o/d switch to off punched it to wot and wallow I was off like a rocket with full power. Can somebody please give me some direction Wat to what this may be as I'm off to a recommended mechanic on Monday! Any input would be helpful... thanks

Someone posted a similar problem this year. Turned out it was a transmission control solenoid. lot less than a rebuilt transmission.
Suggest you do a search and then take it to a good transmission shop.

The trans in our vehicles is electronic so there are solenoids that control where the fluid is routed and thus what gear the trans is in.

Unfortunately I can't see what the OD sw has to do with the amount of power the vehicle seems to have, as the sw only tells the computer that you don't want to allow OD.

What is my best bet of where to take the car to get checked?

I would take it a dealer. A $100 labor bill will be your charge to start.

I took the car over to a transmission and exhuast shop today, after several test drives and various computer monitoring systems hooked up. The only they could pin point is that while when in drive and trying to make a WOT attempt, the car shifts gears up and down as if it didn't know what to do therefore causing a bogging affect which I thought were originally a coil problem. Well after all this I was told to comeback tommorow for a fuel filter change and then go from there. I don't know but something just doesn't seem right? Any thoughts from anyone are more then welcome as I am completely lost and don't have like most of us much cash. Thanks.

Um what happened to taking it to dealer? Fail on your choice of shops. You were even given names...
