I happened to pull up next to a late model Camaro. I believe it was a Z-28(it defintely had a V8 per the exhaust note). I didn't think he wanted to play. I figured he didn't even know about the Marauder. I guess I was wrong. The light turns green and he gets on it. I was taking off at a brisk pace but by no means did I have it floored. I turned to my passanger and told her that this guy wants to play. She looks over and says no, at first. Then she changes her mind and agrees with me. I was a bit ahead of her and had already joined in the fun. I didn't think I had a chance even with the very cool air(high 40s). Just after shifting out of 1st I had him by a car length. Needless to say I was quite suprised. I had to get off the gas as we were rapidly approaching traffic. At the next light he made sure not to line up next to me. :D

Funny but you get that some times from others drivers........

Maybe he thought you had a regular GM???

Or maybe his car was running like sh**??

I don't know what it was but it sure was fun. I will be the first to admit that he should have spanked me.

late model Z running 80% would probably out run a stock MM...they are fast...IMHO...

He says he beat a late model Camaro Z28. End of story. You guys don't have to make excuses for the Camaro.
(You're sounding like every scrub driver when they get beat by a Ford product)

start up any major debates here, but it really depends what year and what model Camaro it was. The ones w/the LS-1 350 engines in them are pretty fast. Not only do they have more cubes under the hood then our marauders do, but they pump out about 45 more HP than our cars do bone stock, and lets not forget that they're also lighter than Marauders are.

However, let me add that IMO our Marauders look a lot better than any late model Camaro does.:)
