...I thought there was a thread on here a little while ago about a non-working cruise control, and one of the answers was that there is a switch that works in conjunction with the brakes, to suspend the action till resumed. My CC in my 96 CV doesn't work, nor do the automatic door locks. I'm wondering if this could be my problem, and where is this switch located. The brake lights work, and you can lock the doors with the master switch, and each door switch.
Thanx

The switch is at the brake pedal, What exactly doesn't work for the locks?

Ponyup had to have his Cuise module recently replaced to make his work.

When you first put it in gear, or first touch the brakes the doors don't automatically lock, like in the MM. The thread I'm looking for also stated that Ford's CC Module doesn't normally go bad.

My cruise had a short in the switches, once the switches were replaced it was determined to have a bad cruise module. Unfortunatlely I had to go through the Stealership for this whole ordeal.

If you end up having to go the same route, I can share my invoice information so you can compare pricing. They will tell you it needs both switches if it is indeed a switch issue. In my case my music/temp side was working fine, but I think the switches come in a pair. PM me if you need more info.

Good luck

I "think" that lock feature works off the shifter.

Not to disagree with you, but when a passenger leaves your car, with it in gear, when you let off the brake, the door locks, the same when a passenger enters, except it locks the first time you apply the brake.
