Will fit like a glove. LoTek used my A pillar trim piece as a pattern for their pod model. Also used it for the LF color match (and IRRC, fastblackmerc volunteered his for the DC color match).

Actually they used my spare one for the pattern / fitment and use Rex's for the light flint color match

Good fit. Be sure and glue the screw cover in place, mine popped off shortly after installing it.

Glad I spent the $$$ for mine, great fit and color match. I used a factory "A" pillar trim under mine (as your supposed to), Duramixed the 2 together, cut holes in the back of the factory "A" pillar trim for guage access, it is very "solid".

Although the triple gauge pillar can be used by itself, it "should" be mounted to the stock pillar cover. Believe it or not the stock pillar cover has something to do with the safety of the car.

I was thinking of a single or double pillar pod. I would install a boost & air/fuel gauge. I presently have three gauges at the shifter oil trans temp & voltage. What has everyone found to be the best lay out for gauges ?

I believe LoTek can make you a two gauge pod, you can contact them at:

Lo-Tek Inc.
715 - C2 East Geer Street
Durham, NC 27701

email: info@gaugepods.com (info@gaugepods.com)

I don't think they will unless you want to pay big bucks for them to custom make one.

It would be cheaper to buy a dual gauge pod and just add it to the existing pillar cover.

Has anyone used the triples gauge pod by itself -> without the OEM pillar cover?

(I have already customized my OEM pillar cover into a dual gauge pod and cannot use it under the triple gauge pod.)

Any problems with using it by itself?

There should be a problem using it by itself (that is what I plan to do). Although ntd set this up I was the "man on the ground" since I'm about 20 minutes away from Lo-Tek. Talking to them they said it will work fine by itself but they can't say that because the OEM "A" pillar cover is part of the "safety features" of the car and legally they can't advise you to circumvent the safety features. Just like an exhaust shop can't legally defeat the emissions system by deleating cats.

Anything worth doing, is worth doing well. It seems it would be quite easy to get an "A" pillar trim off a P71 and attach it to that. I may have a couple, I'll have to look, if I do, I'll gladly pass them on so other members can attach their pods to the trim.

I know this is an older thread, but is there any diff. between 2004 MM and 2004 CVLX A-pillar covers other than color? I'm sure that the mounting holes in the actuall A-pillar are the same, but I was just wondering if there were any cosmetic diff. between the two.

Thanks,

They are the same. You can get them in abs black go to the auto parts store and buy paint in your trim code sometimes the color match insn't perfect. Go to a used car dealer and ask for the # of there trim repiar guy. They can match it perfectly

My only problem is that I have a White CVLX with parchment inerior color. I'm pretty sure that Lo-tek doesnt offer that color....If they did, I would have jumped all over it!!!

If the parchment interior is the same as the marauders light flint then it's a match.

Needs more gauges. I think you can get one in the center of the steering wheel. :D

A triple gauge A pillar pod set up with three AeroForce Interceptors will give you six simultaneous readouts, plus the others that Joe has would equal NINE functions to monitor, GO FOR IT! :D
