long story short. i let my brother borrow my car, and he brings it back like this.

can this be repaired? is it even worth being repaired if it can be? or would i be better off hunting down an oem replacement?

if completely replacing it is better, where can i find a real ford oem bumper cover? not some crap knock off. i will not spare any expense when it comes to this car.

thanks guys

ben

I owned mine 8 months before my wife drove it for the first time, (with me in it) then another year before she took it alone, ( I've driven her truck 2 times), and you let your brother borrow it, then say you spare no expense, spare the expense of letting people borrow your car. BTW Mortorhead 350 was looking to borrow one a while back.

It cannot be repaired, find a new brother. Oh you mean the bumper? Yes it can be fixed. But it might cost as much as finding a decent replacement and just having it painted. Check a couple body shops for estimates.

ImpalaSlayer, Mine is an old stoker with 95,00 miles, nothing like yours, but NO ONE borrows it, it is still 1 of 11,052, I can't replace it. I know it was a rude comment, but I'll bet no one borrows his again.

I don't blame blk mamba, I agree..it is getting more difficult as the years go by to find a near exact replacement if an idiot borrowing the car happens to ruin it.

It'll crack in no time if you try to repair it. Good luck

I've heard of people repairing them, but I agree with those who said they would buy a new/used bumper instead. Especially living in the midwest with temperature changes and stuff like that, who knows how long a repair would hold up.

I've got a line on a used one, though I don't know how much it costs. PM coming your way.

Seems to me that your brother should be the one with the expense. :o

The ebay reproductions don't have the MARAUDER lettering.

It can be repaired, if the right person repairs it, it will not crack. If the wrong body shop does it the crack will surface again over time.

Check with body shops in your area. It can be repaired but it has to be done right or it will crack again.

BTW.... you brother should be footing the bill.....

Yeah, did the azzclown even offer to pay for repair or replacement? If not, might be a timely suggestion.
