I can get myself an eaton supercharger, just the blower for about $550..how much more $$ will it take to complete the kit??..is it a good idea to piece together a kit??..I am not trying to spend more than $2,000. Thanks in advance.
You're going to spend more than $2,000 if you want to do an eaton swap or any other type of super charger upgrade.

You simply can't take short cuts like this and expect a completed project, in a normal timeline, and be reliable. Don't sell your car short bud.
Now, there is other options here if you can be creative. You could piece together a turbo kit on the dirt cheap. To pull this off you are looking at VERY long hours fabbing your own pipes, taking huge trust in others on used parts (at your budget, VERY used) and with little to ZERO guidance from others as this isn't done around here really. I am on a forum for Escorts for repair help and have seen MANY examples of junkyard turbo builds turn key at under $500.00! Not only do they hold up but they are laying down as much as 345 HP in one case! Creativety is key, these guys have found a handfull of other makes/models that come somewhat close, or within reason on the DIRT CHEAP that work perfectly. So YES, it is possible, and I myself LOVE the hard way. But I am a good fabricater, I have 25 years of collecting tools, and thankfully the internet to help back me if needed. Are you up for the task???
Sounds to me you should go for nitrous and a dyno tune and keep the left over money for repairs/maintenance. A 100 shot on a good dyno will put you in the 12's easilly.
Good luck, hope something works out.

Eaton M112, the lower intake manifold, and intercooler are going for around $300 each, but you may come across a deal for less if you're patient and do a lot of shopping. $300 each for the above parts equals $900, so based on your budget of $2,000, there's not much over left to pick up all the necessary peripherals (GT fuel pump, BAP, intercooler heat exchanger, intercooler pump and reservoir, upgraded fuel injectors, PS intake tube, 90MM MAF, etc).
More realistic budget is $3,500 to $4,000. I have just under $4K in mine, including all parts, ImpalaSlayer's labor to install, and the dyno tune.
Worth every penny of it. 423 rwhp/411 rwtq. :burnout:
