My question is when replacing rear tires should they be the same brand as on the front or doesn't it make a difference? I have hankook on the front which I really like, but I was looking at Cooper discoverer h/t for the rear replacement , I like the aggressive tread design for winter driving, so should I stay with hankook for all 4 or will it make a bad choice to put Cooper's on the rear?

Different mfg tires on front & rear are OK.
You NEVER want to have different tires (mfg, size, tread pattern, etc.) on the same "axle".

I'm running OEM BFGs on the front and 255/55/18 General Grabber UHPs on the rear with no issues.
