Thats word from state farm...an since Americredit gave me the longest shaft in the world after two years of 349.49 i only paid maybe $3000 on the loan itself an god knows how much on interest...an in Kentucky in order to buy the car back from the insurance you got to pay it off yourself which is really stupid...I must say I enjoyed my marauder(even the overheating) but now she gon an it ain't no coming ba~ck...Crown Vic here I come

that is a shame... when my silverado SS got totalled, statefarm gave me top dollar (and we bought the truck back for next to nothing)

Unfortunatly, that is how auto/home and loans in general work, the lender gets their interest before much is paid towards the equity. In the future, you may want to look at loans at credit unions, as they generally will let you pay more towards the equty of a loan with no penalties.

As far as a Vic, I have had several, you will lose money on them too. Pick one you like and want to keep for a while, you'll do OK.
