I was wondering what kind of gas mileage the n/a MM are getting out there. As of right now I'm getting like 130 miles out of a half of tank. Is that good or bad. And that's with driving moderate speeds.

Is that around town, highway, stop and go?
When i was N/A, running 3.55 gears, was averaging around 17 city 22.5 highway.
Went to 4.10 gears and a tune, city driving dropped to 14 to 16, (I attribute that more to my driving style), highway, 21 to 22 mpg. That would equate to around 200 miles on a half tank.

Which half?? The top half or the bottom half?? They ain't the same you know. Half a tank could be 9.5 gallons, or 8.5 gallons, or even 8 depending on how you count it. Give us some real gallon numbers.
Need to know how many gallons vs. total miles. Half a tank is about 9.5 gallons. 130 miles over 9.5 gallons is 13.6 MPG. That seems very low for a stock MM. I get about 16-17 MPG local (with "spirited driving") and about 24-25 MPG on the highway (cruising at 75-80 MPH).

I have an interesting mix of almost 1/2 and 1/2 highway and back roads and I get 18-20 depending on how much I am enjoying her. That is bone stock with a CAI and that is it.

On my car, the needle starts dropping from the 1st gallon on a full tank. On Bradley's MM, he says it stays on full for a long time. All in the calibration. My car gets around 15 - 16 combined driving in the burbs, 22 highway going 80-85 mph all on 4.10's. I wouldn't care if it got 10, as long as I'm not driving some Jap crap.

My 04, stock except for tune got me 18.5 in commute traffic.
My 03, with 4.0's, and a tune gets me 18.2 in the same heavy commute traffic.
On the 04, my needle would not move till it had ~60 miles on the tank. In the 03, by the time I have 15 miles on the tank, it 'reads' 7/8 of a tank.
Get some real miles to the gallon numbers (like others have said) and then you can judge if you are getting good or bad mileage.

I get about 18-19 with a mix of highway/city stop and go. Each gas gauge is going to read differently. Mine reads a little high, at half a tank per the gauge my Scangauge tells me I have 40-45% fuel level. I usually get about 150-160 at 50% fuel level and anywhere from 300-320 when the low fuel light comes on but that's pretty rare.
When I recently went to DE to see ImpalaSlayer I got about 200 miles to half a tank and that was staying 75-85 mph 90% of the trip.

Well I have a custom tune and a jlt cai second set of cats removed and original 40 series flowmasters. I do both highway/city driving. And I'm talking about the bottom half.

I have so much fun driving my Marauder that I don't care about gas mileage!
If I cared about gas mileage I'd be driving a Prius

With a Zack tune, K&N, and colder plugs...
-26 pure highway.
-19 pure city.
-21 mixed, with a heavy foot.

that's bad - time for a tune up.

What exactly would that entail? I've had roughly the same lousy mileage since owning the car (last 2 years).
I replaced the spark plugs and added a CAI. The ignition wires and distributor points are, well, not in need of service.
What does a tune-up mean these days? I'd love another 5mpg...

First..... there are no points and ignition wires.....
New plugs
Clean or replace airfilter
Replace fuel filter
Check all the fluids
Check belts and hoses
Can of Seafoam
Clean MAF
Years ago, I tried to figure out what gas milage the Marauder got. Then I remembered life is short, and ceased to care what my mpg was. One less thing to worry about out of all the things worth worrying about. WIN.

After a year of having the car and recording info on my iPod fuel mileage app, I'm averaging 19mpg. Here's the graph for a year.....

I'm with CBT. Who cares, as long as its running strong and not leaking fuel.
I get 13.5-14.5 mpg city, unless I get on it. :drive:

Just filled up at B.J.'s..... $3.07 / gallon for 93 octane. $52.00. Nice & cold runs like a beast...................

I get right around 20 unless I do lots of stop and go.
The 04 fuel gauge calibration is insane. First tank was nearly 400 miles before the fuel light came on, then it took over 18 gallons. I checked the fuel tank capacity later still 19 gallons YIIKKEESSS I was used to having nearly 4 gallons left when the gauge read empty in my other 4 panthers. Now I start looking for gas prices after it crosses 1/2 tank, that's already over 10 gallons with my car.

I got a better deal at Shell. Filled the MM up with 12.955 gallons for $1.999 per gallon. Saved $16.84 on the fill up using my Giant Food points that cut $1.30 per gallon off the pump price of $3.299 for 93 Octane. :D I gotta remember to do that more often but I like the look on the cashier's face when she sees how much the discount is gonna be. ;)
