Thinking of saving my stock MM wheels, with factory roadforce balanced KDWS on them. $1800 shipped?!
Thinking 17" steelies with 255 50 17 nitto 555 for a spring/summer setup, any issues with this size?

geesh. I can hear the crickets chirping. :sleepy:
Anyone got a pic of a MM with 17" steelies on it? The idea was to run those wheels to keep my factory rims nice.
Buler? Anyone?

Is this a winter-only setup? If so, who cares what it looks like?
I would post a picture of my MM wearing 16" steelies, but it basically just looks like a black P71 with steelies because it's a side profile picture.

Actually summer - My brand new KDWS 18" are about 40% worn already. So I was going to perhaps bench them.
$80 each for 17" steelies - no worries about getting scratched etc.
Then put on Nitto 555 or the BFG T/A KDW 2's (below pictured)

If I got 225/45 17 (pictured above) my 3.73's instantly become 4.27's !

IMHO, the OE rims look great. I could understand switching to steelies for winter driving, but aside from scratches I don't think there'd be any reason for me to switch to steelies year-round. Not to mention the increase of "is that a P71?"

Yeah I hear ya, just thinking about getting a simple (inexpensive) set of wheels. you think (3) complete sets of wheels for one car is excessive? I'm sure someone on here has more sets than that..
I need to do some more searching. I'd love to get a set of used wheels in good shape where the rears are wider than the fronts. Need to look into this too.
