Was just wondering which one is better, the jlt intake or the factory k/n.. Was looking to invest in a new intake

They are basically the same for power, but the JLT will save you $100.

Agreed.... Save that $100 for a tune

IMO, invest in the tune first, MUCH more bang for the buck.

A CAI may give you a slight increase in power, will definitely sound better, but a good tune will wake the car up.

If you don't ever want to go to a 90mm MAF, the K&N looks better.:) But if you plan on big horsepower the JLT will work better.

Why would a jlt work better?

Yeah, really? I have a K & N, fit and finish is great but if you go either way the sound is what matters.

You can't fit a 90mm MAF to the K&N

the jlt is the better buy!, when i got mine in 04 jlt wasnt availible, and a 90mm maf would work after modding the heat shield maf hole, and a coupler to fit the intake tube.

JLT, I got the JLT because i was trying to save a few bucks at the time, Im thinking about getting the Reinhart CAI tho, that thing looks sexy. A lil more costly tho

save the money and go jlt and use the extra for a tune ,I was torn between the k&n and the jlt I couldn't justify the extra 100 dollars for the same thing. I think jlt still has a sale on them too .
