Check it out, I have a few pictures here somewhere of me and Bob and our Marauders at a car show. He sold the Marauder and got a new toy:

1964 Mercury Marauder FOR SALE. I have already committed to purchasing another car in December and I do not have the space in my garage to keep both cars. I really enjoy this car however housing it is my concern.

The car is housed Newport News, Va., 23601. If anyone is interested the car is always here at my house. A few facts concerning the car is as follows: 390 CI engine, Merc-O-Matic Trans, 650 Edelbrock carb., AC, PS, original working AM Radio, Sony CD, FM w/remote under the dash, undercoated, custom Marauder, God-Head Floor Mats.

I have attached a few pictures.

Hey Guys:

Attached are a few pictures of my new car. It is at my home in my garage. It is a 1976 Mercury, built by the Wood Brothers, sponsored by Purolator, . It was built for David Pearson to the exact standards and color scheme commemorating his 1976 Daytona 500 Victory in a last lap wreck with Richard Petty, 30 years later. David has autographed the dash and drove this car 10 laps around Daytona and hit 165 MPH in 2006. It was made completely street legal. by its builder. It was also driven by him at Darlington 2008 It was with David in 2008, honoring him in Spartanburg, SC, I have met David, personally this week and have many autographed memorabilia that was given to me. I really got my Christmas present early this year.

Crazy clean in person, and Bob is a really nice guy. I'm going to ask him how much he let it go for.

Cool story with that 76. I read someplace Barrett-Jackson is offering one up in January just like that one (or is it the same car?) The 76 wasnt the prettiest looking body style but it was darn sucessful on the track (for something with the aerodynamics of a brick!)

Found it:

Your buddies car looks much better IMHO.
