I am a member from CVN and just got a loan an was looking into maybe getting a Marauder. I wanted to know what problems to look for when test driving one. And also what sounds like a good price for one. The 03 here is way over priced for 153k. So if anyone can help thanks.

u will definitely find one for 10k, it maybe in the 80,000 + mileage range tho. Good luck.

if your patient 10k will get you in the drivers seat, check all the sites mentioned above, cars.com, and sites similar should give you a few to consider.

Good luck at finding a Marauder within your budget restrictions. I am sure that there are some out there that will fit the bill. If you want a lower mileage MM in pristine condition, you may have to have a little flexibility. Other than paint problems, most of the other "minor" issues have probably already been addressed over the years. As long as it has been serviced regularly, not wrecked, and not beat on .... your MM should be good to go. Check out some MM.Net members cars ... all of them have been taken care of very well.

+1, Plus you'll get a history of the car if you purchase from a fellow member. Usually once a month a car will be put up for sale here and $10k isn't unreasonable for one with under 100K miles.

I know a little about that car... I posted about it's sale at the auction a couple months back, so I have a general idea how much he has in it and I'll just say this, if it sells for $2K less he'll still be making money... So if you are serious, hem and haw and offer something like $6500, if he won't deal walk away...

Even with the high miles, the NADA retail value is $8950 http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/default/frown.gif , but I'd never pay that for one with that mileage... Be prepared to travel a bit if the right one pops up... Because mine was such a screamin' deal, I flew to Chicago to get it...

Im still here i just wasnt really trying to go out of state to find one. Ill let u all know after monday if i get the expedition or not and at the moment i have more use for a truck.
