Mach 1 engine

Is a Mach 1 engine (4 valve) the same as a Marauder engine? Also is the Mach 1 an iron block? Does it have better internals? Is it a direct fit?

Also is the trans off a Mach 1 (automatic) the same as ours?

The long block in an automatic equipped Mach1 is the same. Trans is the same also.

Hey Mike the Mach 1 with the manual trans has a forged crank I believe. Carfixer or Fordnut would most likely know.

The mach1 engine with an auto trans is exactly the same as ours but the upper intake.
The 5-speed has a forged crank. The transmission is the same as ours.

Looks like I blew mine. I can get my hands on a brand new engine and brand new trans through a friend for a great price. Zero miles. I don't really need a trans but I can sell it or keep the trans as a spare.
If the deal falls through I will get a MMR 5.0.

I have not taken mine apart yet but it won't be pretty.
