IMO, the best way to go about doing this is to take the strut assembly out yourself and bring to a shop with a spring compressor and have them replace your struts/coils.

If you do it yourself you'll need a spring compressor which you can rent or buy.
Be very very careful if you do it yourself. If the spring lets loose it can damage the car and more importantly you.

I've done many, still hate it. I bought a cheap compressor for now, next up is a wall mount!
"Do not use impact gun on spring compressor"
Yeah right...ok.

 Nothing like trying to steady it while working with a ratchet. Impact gun FTW.

Only way to do it is with air tools!
That's what she said!

Easy job, I use my rachet wrenches on everything. Love them, a little time consuming but that what I got to work with. When I move in to a house next year an air compressor is in #1 on the list.

What's the difference? Actually easier doing front on Marauder then most Honda's IMO. Nothing wrong with air tools on the hold down nut as long as the spring is securely compressed. Try doing fronts on some European cars where you need to hammer off a retainer. :o

I agree with that one ^^^^.
Taking them out is easy. Just take them to a shop, to take the spring off the strut.
I know people can do it themselves, but it may be just safer to have a shop do that part.
Then you can just go back home and through them back in!
After that....go for an alignment.

Cut a coil out of your spring while you have it off for a lower stance.
No. She said BATTERY TOOLS! LOL!
Bob, I wouldn't admit that!!

My 1st time I changed out the front coil over shocks I used A spring compressor from Auyo Zone & a wrench. The last two times I used a 1/2 battary impact drive. What a time saver.

After you replace them get an alignment done to CarFixer's specs.

One small hint. Use a drop of paint or some nail polish and mark the top of the outboard stud on each upper shock mount. The three studs are not symmetrical.
