Silly or not, that is the way ASC (who makes the bulk of the aftermarket sunroof kist) does it.

Thanks Peter.

If I "needed" a car, that would be a nice one.

I was just figuring, if I could get an "Oh Wow!" deal on an MM, I would put it in the shop to work on as I hade time, and then add a roots style bklower and some other upgrades that I would like on my DD, but don't want to take my current blue MM off the road to build.

This is why days off are dangerous for me -- I start scheming and spending money!!!!

Merry Christmas buddy!

By the way, I sent someone your way the other day. I hope he got in touch with you.

That CV is a WOW--..That drivers seat shows a bit more than 15K --or the sitter was heavy or did a lot of still sitting---either way--that leather is a bit too cracked for that mileage IMO.

The price is good----what still makes me curious --why so low mileage for a 7 year old car with alot of seat time evidence--sorry could'nt help it!

I don't know who won it, but I agree the car was probably no better than a "7.8". Probably not worth any more than $10,000, but maybe worth it if you just had to have a DBP Marauder. Lots of little things need attention on this car. The driver's seat has a small tear in the seat back, but all the power functions worked OK. There's curb rash on several wheels, although they still had a decent finish overall. There are two cracked pieces on the front grille on either side of the medallion. Several lights are out on the driver's window controls and the EATC head. All the EATC functions worked, but the windows seemed sluggish going up and down. The engine wasn't detailed, but sounded OK running, and there was no smoke on start up. I didn't notice any leaks on the "showroom" floor, and the car was "pinned in" by other cars, so I think it had been sitting in the same spot for days without moving.

There is lots of "road wear" on the nose, and the head lights and fog lights are seriously abraded. There's some scuffing and scratches on the front bumper cover as well. The moon roof appeared to be properly installed, and the inside shade matched the headliner well. The stereo worked, but I didn't test the CD changer or the tape deck. It seemed some of the controls on the steering wheel were intermittent. Because of the way the car was parked, there was no room to walk behind and look at the rear. I did notice the backup lights are the correct MM lenses, even if they appear lighter in some of the pictures. The windows were tinted, with the rear doors and back glass slightly darker than the front door glass. There are two dings on the "carbon fiber" dash insert near the center. The paint appeared to be original, and the body panels looked OK. There were no major dings or dents, but more than a few scratches and scuffs here and there.

Since I couldn't drive it, there's no way to say how good it runs on the road. It was interesting to see some of the other cars inside the "showroom". There were no less than three other Marauders parked next to this DBP example. Two Silver Birch models and one Black. Of the four Marauders, one of the SB cars was probably the best one of the four overall. The paint on the black car looked like a respray in a dirty booth. It had a black interior, and one of the SB cars was also black inside. The wheels on one of the SB cars looked as though they were repainted with a semi gloss silver finish-not very good looking.

When I left NY, I started a new life.

I got married a year ago October.

Thanks for noticing! :P

Those other cars are the ones from their other autcitons online. It was a couple weeks ago that this place had all three of them on ebay as well. I was intrested in the Black one but never got a chance to check it out cause I thought it sold on ebay. Looks like they just pulled the auction down early for those casue they were cheap last time I looked. Glad to see I wasnt missing much with the black one.

As I mentioned before, I was mainly looking at the DBP car for Marty. There were three other MM's parked next to it. There was a very nice SB (probably the best of the four cars), then a Black one, and finally another SB...I took a quick look at the others while I was there, and noticed the paint on the front end of the Black car has a nice shine, but a lot of what appears to be a grit embedded into the paint. I didn't touch the surface to see if felt "bumpy", but it was noticeable under the indoor lights. I don't know if the other cars are still available.

Car has been relisted:

It sure looks like the seller could have been bidding for his own account. I hate that.

This is the exact same car for sale at the lot that everyone's been discussing about on this thread. He's asking $16,500 at the lot, but has it for auction on Ebay. Practically the same mileage and the interior is exactly the same, even the mark on the drivers seat back rest. I have no idea if this has been brought up yet.

We should all report the guy on eBay. They can search and see if the winning bidder was a winner in any of the guys other auctions.

If you sell something via auction as "no reserve" that you have to live with the results.

Seems very convenient for the dealer that the bidders are private so they can't be identified to see if the dealer is schill bidding.:(

Seller claims that he was never contacted by the high bidder after the auction was over and that's why it's re listed. :bs:

Seems the "winning" bid went to $11,695 this time.
