The guy who bought it is putting it into the correct vehicle for it....an F150.

Actually, it was a great engine...still running strong at 130,000 miles.
It just ran out of breath @ 5,000 rpm.

I raced an old Volvo station wagon full of high school girls around the time I first got the Marauder. It wasn't really a race, it was more of a slow painful death for that wagon from 0 to 35 between a few lights. They started it and it was pretty funny. They knew they had no chance but got a kick out of revving that POS to about 10 million RPM's each time we stopped. Crazy gals.

Merry Christmas!The track was a zoo. 325 cars. Last race of the season. Only got 2 runs in. 13.9 NA, and had to shut it down on the juice.

I was still trying to figure out was fuel jet to run, and my shot in the dark was off. Right when I hit the spray, it skyrocketed to 15 something, so I got off it because I wanted to DRIVE my car home from the track.

I'm in Florida right now with my parents, and in about 5 hours, will be driving across the state to Jupiter to go to their test and tune night. I have the right fuel jet in, and I just have to see what this freaking 2 VALVE will do!

The A/F is gonna be in the mid to high 12s, and so is my timeslip. I will post a vid here, just so these Marauder guys can see what a couple of us 2V guys are doing!

Oh, and yea, we shall see what happens at STAP!

I am am '05 Crown Vic lx sport owner and I would much rather have a marauder.

Although I would feel guilty/bad about driving the marauder to work every day, rain, snow, or shine.. I'd also feel bad about using the marauder to tow my boat, take on family vacations with kids eating/coloring/goofing around in the back seat, etc.

Yeah when a black Marauder is in the rear view mirror people slow down and get out of your way.

Way back when with my first CV, a civilian HPP rig I used to own the road around here because the chief's car for a local city was the same color and wore the same aluminum wheels. I got waived at in more than one instance where a officer was taking radar and I was enough over the limit to warrant attention, not pulled over. It also did a good job of scaring the general public when it was still relatively new. So no you don't need a push bar and spot light for a Panther to get respect.

I don't think that's respect, I think it is awareness. I put a black grill on mine a couple months ago. People moved over before, but now it's just plain funny. Brake lights come on, seatbelts go on, people actually use turn signals to change lanes, funny stuff.

Actually, yes! The masses don't seem to notice the difference. People frequently can't decide if they want to pass me or not on the interstate. No real difference from when I was driving a CV LX.

A Marauder would be nice to have. I'm not made of money though, and I'm already pot committed with this P71. Plus, don't their engines spontaniously combust at 100K?

Oh, and the respect you get on the road with a p71 with center caps, a spot light, and a pushbar is nothing to eff with. Do any of you Marauder guys get that respect too?

You mod out a CV or GM and what do you have? A kid who has modified a car that no one wants except a select few that roam the internet.

You buy a marauder you instantly have a desirable car for dealers and the public alike, as well as if you choose to modify it you dont have to do a lot of things that are not reversible (Intake, Tune, Bolton Exhaust) to get times to play with.

Ill give you one better...14.4 for me was simply JLT intake, SCT Z-tune and taking the browns to the superbowl before my run. Car was 8k with 80k on the clock, and I can sell it as it sits TOMORROW for, oh I don't know...8K+?

Who wants an old beat up FLEET car that is no longer old-person friendly(since thats all the cv and gm are really good for...old people and fleets). I know plenty of people that would buy a modified MM, so your argument on what we spent on ours is a null point, it just proves we MM owners operate in a different tax bracket.

Yes, some of us do sell our cars. I however, just like the fact the money I have in my car will take a good amount of time to depreciate in my local market to the point where I am going to take a hit.

CV or GM, however...not so much. Not to mention in resale the MM is to the CV/GM as the Buick Skylark GS is to the Skylark Base Model. Having mediocrity just isn't acceptable to some.

14.9 in a Vic with hardly any mods with only 240ish HP and stock exhaust is pretty damn fast.......you really can't say a 300+HP Marauder with the same mods doing 14.5 is impressive. Until you get deeper into the mods and really wake up the 4V with a power adder the Marauder really is a really cool fancy lookin' Vic. Sorry but for 30K brand new the Marauder should have spanked the P71 from the factory & it could hardly do that.

I have seen some absolutley awesome Vics. I remember when I ran my car in that little segment, I actually voted for a Vic that I thought should have won the show that month.

And really, for the most part, it is CV or GM of the month, as that is what is mostly on that site, and that is fine, I have had my share of P71's and P74's, liked them all equally. My last Vic, an 05 Sport, I started to mod, decided that for the same amount of $$$ in go fast parts, I could have a screaming MM, and, at the end of the day, have a MM. I can't remember how many people asked me if my Sport was a "old cop car", that crap got old fast. It was a super nice car, I paid huge $$$ for it and it looked nothing like a "cop car".

Now, take the MM, only once has somebody mistaken it for a old "cop car", but the kid was about 14 and dad corrected him very quickly as to what the car actually was.

I'm looking for 300 wheel HP, no power adder yet. I do have some plans down the road for a small turbo setup.

I might make a little more, might make a little less. When I degreed the cams I advanced the intake cams to try and lower the powerband slightly and try and make some torque.
So I might be giving up a little bit on the high end, but hope to gain slightly on the low end ;)
