I should mention I've been driving her nuts for years with my cars. Will she call me an rtard for "doing" this to a perfectly good car?

have you ever heard these on a mm?

Only on youtube and the sound quality is questionable. How loud are they during normal driving?
MOTOWN

there louder overall , when you get in it all hell breaks loose!, is there anyone close to you that has them?, its realy just a question of how you like the louder tone

There's only one other MM within 100 miles that I've seen, and it's not modded. Western WI is apparently a Marauder dead zone. I had true duals with Flowmaster 40's on a Bronco with a 351 and that particular racket was starting to get on my nerves so I'm not sure how they would compare. I hate to be the millionth tool to say this but I want it to sound more like my Dads Mustang. Insert burn here

if you got tired of the flows, dont even think about any muffler with aero in the name! lol they are louder than flowmasters, i got tired of the flows on my pick up, maybe you should look into borla

Thanks for the honest advice, rumbly is good but annoying is just that.
Aeros are like 10 times louder than flows! :D

Hey Doom, I've heard your car on youtube and it sounds really nice. When you aren't smashing the skinny pedal, how's the noise?

18" magnaflows with rear cat delete, it will be nice and mellow until you get on it.

Had true dual Magnaflows on a supercharged V8 94 Cougar and they were awfully quiet. Anything one notch up?

IMO -- if you are looking for " a little more noise " the Aeros may not be right for you. If you want a louder idle, louder exhaust with increasing RPMs but quieter on the freeway then check these out.
I am generally conservative when it comes to mods, but deleting resonators was not enough for me so I added the Aeros and like the results.
It will come down to your own tastes.

Honestly if you just want a little more sound, remove the 2nd set of cats and see how that sounds to you. Still need a little more than change the rear tips to res-delete tips.

yep. ^^ agree. you could also get electric cutouts installed, then if you don't want quiet, just bump the switch.

I think he should consider trying out just the mufflers before getting res-delete tips. After deleting the rear cats, my car went from mildly loud to extremely loud. Im actually thinking about getting a pair of OEM tips to tone it down a bit.

Have to remember his exhaust is completely stock.

I have a 03' Grand Marquis...Factory CV duel exhaust...i didnt find the Aeros very loud at all by themslelves....sounded great! and still not that loud when i took the rear cats off...for me only got *****y when i went to the larger diameter down/mid pipe, X, and high flow cats. but it was more that the sound changed than the decibal level.

I agree, I love them tho, and so do all the ladies that ride in my car. Its not an ugly loud, its a deep sweet loud.

Just an update... I've decided to try the wifes' patience yet again and am putting on the aeros when the great outdoors unfreeze. Til then I'll just keep driving the super fast and exciting 96 F350.

the mid pipes are only 2 inch .only thing thats 2 1/4 is tailpipes they were too cheap to put 2 1/4 the entire system.by all means dump the factory mufflers i did and glad i did now i can hear car running.

Just a thought, everybody runs these mufflers but they are 2.5"/2.5". Isn't the marauder muffler 2.25"/2.25"?

Update...
Installed the 2525s on an otherwise stock system and the sound is great. Raspy without being obnoxious, sound level is probably about 50% louder than stock during acceleration and about the same as stock during cruising. I likey

I forgot to mention that part. I got a "You did what....why?" an eye roll and a walk away muttering under her breath. So, nothing out of the ordinary in other words. She's a good lady that tolerates car expenses pretty well, in moderation of course. A supercharger is out of the question.

I bought a set of Aero 2525's, but haven't had them installed yet. The general consensus is the Aero's are mild at normal throttle, and really crack when at hard throttle. Normal cruising speeds they are not obscene or overly loud inside the car. Tail pipe should be past the bumper cover.

Sounds about right. Enjoy! Your radio will get much less use now.
