Has anyone else had this problem?
Today my turn signals stopped canceling after a turn.
Is this hard to fix?

Not an easy fix.
The multifunction switch assembly inside the steering column has to be replaced.

if it is like the gm app then all you should have to do is drop the bottom steering cover and undue a couple srews, but I havent look @ the MM for that replacement.
It's a 15-20 minute job.
Take the plastic cover off, un-do 2 screws, and up-plug it.
Here is a pic of the column side the brass colored holes are where the mounting screws come through.

The white part in the middle of the semi circle is the cancel piece that has most likely broken off.

I may be listed in the parts store books as the dimmer sw, wiper sw, multifunction sw or Turn signal sw.

I bought one back when the whole LCM issue first reared its ugly head.
Motorcraft P/N SW-6489 Ford # 3W1Z-13K359-BAB
Thanks all! I knew someone here would have the right answer.
One other question. Anyone know how much the part costs?

Via Google, found it at Rockauto for just under $68.00 Post a write up if you do this and good luck!

www.tascaparts.com (a local Ford dealer in New England) has it for $65.18 for the genuine Motorcraft part.
You guys sure do make my life easier! Thanks to everyone who's been so helpful.

I had to replace one on my 03 300A and it is not plug and play. They changed the pins somewhere along the way and I had to disassemble one of the clips and move the wires around. If you have the tool to do it, maybe 5 additional minutes. If you don't, like I didn't, you have to use some precision side-cutters and snip away at the plastic to get the pins out without damaging them. I think I spent the better part of an hour doing this and putting the pins in the enclosed modified clip correctly.
Just FYI.

I'd say you got the wrong one.

No, I got it from Ford and it is the factory replacement part now.

Looks like another case where the aftermarket part is the better choice.

I bet Ford combined a few different switch PN's into one PN. Just have to get the right pins in the right sockets.

Yes I understand that, BUT the average DIY'er doesn't have the tools to remove the terminals from the connector and many probably aren't willing to damage their connector to swap the terminals. Ford also did it with some DPFE sensors where you need to replace the connector, yet the aftermarket part eliminates the problems with corrosion associated with the aluminum body yet still plugs into the existing connector.

Ok, where are the aftermarket turn signal switches for our car?

Someone posted that Crockauto listed one, but being Crockauto that doesn't mean they have it, can get it, just that there is or was at one time a part number.
