First, thanks to everyone who responded to my thread about the bitter cold and could it be the reason my oil gauge doesn't move until the car is running for a few minutes. Went to my mechanic today and like many of our club members felt the oil pressure sending unit needs replacing. He called a local Ford dealer and they advised Motorcraft no longer makes it. Huh ? He was surprised as I was. I appreciate the suggestion to get a whole new "real" gauge but if I simply wanted to replace the Oil Pressure Sending Switch does anyone have a Motorcraft part number or an after market make and part number that they recommend ?

A call or visit to a FLAPS should get you one.
