Good evening to all; the east coast is due for a much needed thaw this weekend and I think im gonna go ahead and change the spark plugs and coils in 03 Marauder. What is a good plug gap for N/A stock 4V 4.6 and should I spray PB Blaster in the heads a couple hrs before attempting to break the old plugs loose. I have heard that Ford did not put anti seize on the plugs @ the factory during assembly. Any good advice is greatly appreciated and Happy Holidays to all.

My $0.02. All I know is I've heard the spark plug threads are very short so be careful. Not sure if you need to change the coils. How many miles are on it?

She is about to hit the ole 100,000 mile mark. My better half bought me a set Accel Coils for Christmas. Is that a .054 gap? Thanks for the advice

Yes on gap. Coils are good. I have a set installed. Very smooth after install.
Take compressed air and blow out any junk in the plug wells, before removal.
Dielectric grease on the connections. use a torque wrench (tight but not too tight) thread in new ones by hand to make sure you are threaded, then use wrench/spanner.
I change plugs every year. I hope they come out after 100K!

when i changed my plugs i used a dab of anti seize on each plug, i would hate to have one seize in the aluminum head.

Anti seize is a must and a cold engine also, when it comes to this aluminum heads.
