View Full Version : Gas Prices headed toward $4.00
We have all been through the last spike where gas approached $4.00 and survived, so it's again time to stable the Marauder and use the GM as the family's daily driver.
If gas goes above $4.00 then a bicycle, three wheeler, with a large basket may be in my future.
Well the MM IS approaching 97K, maybe it's time for rest.

Refining costs are fairly constant, so price increases are based pretty much on crude oil cost. Cost/barrel of crude goes up, cost at the pump goes up.
Guess what crude oil prices have been doing since Sept?

We might see $4 this summer for a short period but just like last time it was caused by speculators so it will crash again, just like last time.

The prices have gone up because Obama said no more new oil drilling, the oil companies slowed their production down since most of their storage tanks are full. This is all in lieu of no new oil drilling sites and the oil companies foreseeing a shortage so they are going to line their pockets now and give themselves a huge buffer of profit money. If prices are to go back down look for it to happen around April most likely before they go up to $4 per gallon.

Not the Arabs this time, blame Obama for printing more $$$$ and devaluing our currency. Oil is traded in U.S. dollars so when the dollar value goes down it costs more dollars to buy the same amount of oil.
