I am replacing my factory bulbs with the silverstar hyper whites. I noticed that the MM headlamps are not the typical harness in the rear of headlamp assembly. Do I need to remove the entire headlamp to access the bulb? :thanks:

Yes. It's in the owner's manual.

When you take the headlights out, make the retaining tabs look like this:

the the next time you have to remove them you won't have to remove the bolts, just loosen them.

I was able to get an HID bulb in without removing the passenger headlamp on my 03 GM.. it was a bit tight though. But you take the cap off and the bulb socket is in there, just turn counter clockwise I believe and pull out.

I always recommend removing the headlight when install HIDs in our headlights so you can make sure the bulb is seated properly and moding the dust cap with the supplied grommet that at least DDM includes.

There is three bolts you have to remove, some can get the headlight out without removing the grill some have to. If you mod the bolt tabs like in the picture above it makes removing the headlight a whole lot easier.

Yes, I replaced the bulbs without removing the whole assembly. You can do it either way. If you have big hands and fingers, taking the assembly out through the front would likely be easier.
