Looks like my heads will be ok...not too sure about the block. Piston in about 10 pieces, rod is non existent.
Looking for a short block.

Mind me asking what piston went bad on you?
#7?/ #8?

#7 I assume you are telepathic?

No i'm not telepathic... #7 & #8 are the dead cylinder's on all modular motor's, the coolant hits a dead end and create hot spots.
On the next build invest in a cooling mod to keep it from happening again. I made my own kit to addresse this very issue: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=63462
Good Luck on the next build.
What kind of S/B are you looking for stock or forged?

Forged. If my block checks out I may just order a stroker kit.
What do you have?

Find yourself an Cobra reman or FRPP Aluminator SB.
Good Luck.

The block may be good, once I confirm that it looks like I will order a stroker crank and good pistons and rods.
I assume with just the crank I can go to 5.0 but can I go bigger with just a crank? Also since I am buying new pistons how far can the stock block be bored?
Thanks

FRPP Aluminator bare block would be an excellent starting point for a stroker kit if your block is not good.
