Does anyone know if Strange makes a rear end assy for our cars? It appears they have a limited selection of applications.

I also checked Moser too...same story.:( I am looking for a built rear basically. The body shop wants to replace mine with a used one for $1875:eek:. I figured I could throw in a few more dollars and get a built one.:D

Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Try www.car-part.com . The prices are much lower than $1875.

There are a few things you can do to build up the OEM 8.8 and make it stronger. Strange, Currie, Moser, Mark Williams are some of the most common names in custom Ford rear ends, they specialize in the 9" but nobody offers a bolt-in for our cars.

I would prefer an Auburn, because they are more conducive to everyday driving, in that they are manufactured to unlock in hard corners to keep tire hop to a minimum, and don't break axles as easily, (they are made more specific for road courses, not straight line).

You will need to contact the companies FordNut mentioned and they can build you a custom direct fit rear for the car. It will cost a lot of money to get the ABS and/or traction control to work properly.
