Just hit 165k miles in my 03 MM. I've owned it since July 08 when it had 132k miles.

So far the only problems I've had with the car are:
-Blend door actuator
-LCM fix

That's it :cool4: Pretty happy about it. The previous owner had to replace the EATC. Glad I didn't!

Who else has a bunch of miles on their MM? I plan on doing at least half the Hot Rod Power Tour again this year. I'll probably do the Cocoa Beach, FL back to Nashville leg and call it a trip.

130k for me. Had to do the eatc oring replacement at around 100k and a fuel injector at 110k and just swapped the LCM(seems like my headlights are brighter since). Still runs strong but am starting to get rattles at low speeds over bumps, I suspect ball joints. The most incredibly annoying I have is from the overhead console, any easy fix for this like stuffinf some foam rubber in there or something?

120,000 miles, boosted the last 30,000. Minor troubles here and there, currently need new upper ball joints/control arms, have some seeps from tranny (old seals, to be expected). Car runs like a champ though. Love driving it every day. I figure that even as consumables wear out, it's cheaper to replace them then buy a new car. And I love my car, my hot rod. Still have lots of mods I want to do...

300A is hitting 170K. Still runs great, gets about 18-20 MPG even with hard driving. The only things that have failed are the adjustable pedals (3X so far, I'm getting good at swapping them) each summer due to the summer heat. The PCV rubber line cracked 140K (and made it idle rough due the vacuum leak). The real oil pressure guage (Auto Meter) sender (2x) due to leaks from the rubber diaphragm, about every 60K miles. The EAC O-rings at 100K. The belt tensioner at 110K (faint squeaks). The battery goes about every 2 years due to the heat out here.

Maintenance items: The plugs at 120K. The IAC valve every 80K (really smoothes out the idle, didn't want to bother to keep cleaning the old ones). The rubber drive belt every 80K miles (started squealing at startup with full alternator load). Oil changes faithfully every 3K miles. Air filter every 3rd oil change.

Put slotted rotors and titanium brake pads on at 60K, still good and stops hard from 100 MPH to 0.
J-mod in the trans when new at 10K, still chirps the 1-2 shift at full throttle, and the OD band comes on solid.

Car still runs like new.

Been gone awhile - what's this EATC thing?

The "Electronic Automatic Temperature Control" (heat, AC, defrost) controller under the radio has solenoid valves (for the vacuum control lines) that get hot enough to render the internal o-rings brittle and causes them to fail. The unit can be replaced for $300+ dollars or you can replace the o-rings with silicone ones that will handle the heat.

My '04 has 118,000+ Miles. I have replaced the EATC and LCM. I also replaced the radio with one from a 2005 Escape.
I also had 2 different oil leaks, one from the timing chain cover and the oil filter seal which got all over the serpantine belt. I replaced that twice due to oil being all over it. I replaced the rear brakes at 65,000 and the fronts at 115,000. I also had a short in the back up lights. The dealer found the short in the trunk, a broken wire. I plan on keeping her forever if I can.
I will be looking for new DD soon. Probably a SHO, but maybe a MKS turbo.

141K and going strong. Had shifter alignment issue when I bought it in July 04, dealer adjusted it so it would go all the way into park. Changed the EATC orings and 2 years later the AC module in the firewall. Changed the plugs a 90K, anti freeze, tranny fluid, and 5k full synthetic oil changes, new brakes shoes (still looked good at 90K but changed them anyway), rear shocks, battery at 130K, and several sets of tires. Heated seat on passenger side hasn't worked in a while and never cracked the suspension/hood/whatever squeek issue.

Smiles per mile ratio is much higher than the cost per mile!

We'll be keeping this one for as long as possible. Still love driving it!
