Consists of drilling slightly larger holes in the valve body.

Your car will have firmer shifts and its been said your transmission will last longer!

Personally, I don't care for it as a DD. Save the springs in case you want to change it back.

Do the J-Mod and keep the springs in there...much more tolerable...won't knock your teeth out every time it up-shifts...

Unless you're going for full impact...race car style!

I must have issues. I did mine 2 years ago and it has allways felt very firm with 1/4 pedal or less. WOT is LAZY. Rarely even brakes the tires loose unless I ain't even hearing it? I would have to think after two years of abuse something would have given up if there were issues. Zack mentioned maybe fluid leaking by the acumulator seal but I haven't had a chance to drain her down to check.

If you are not mechanically inclined or work on cars, talk to Darrin who is a vendor here. He owns BCAutomotive: http://www.bcatransmissions.com/
He can custom mod it to your personal preferences.

If I take it to a local transmission shop what is the typical cost with labor for a j-mod ? Thank you

I personally would not trust your average trans shop to do it. Find one that is very familar with the 4R70(75)Ws and knows what a jmod is. If they have that Huh? look, walk. You can get it already done from Darrin and then any trans shop can put the whole valve body in. Get yours back, ship to Darrin and get your core $ back.
