I looked for a thread already and couldn't find one with directions on how to install the steering wheel emblem. I purchased one from car motorsports. I was supposed to pick up my car today from the body shop but it wasn't ready. So should I ask the body guys to put it in for me and if so how much should it cost.

:confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused::confused: :confused::confused:

Didn't we just answer this????

You CAN do it yourself....

Here's the step by step:

Clean the OEM emblem with rubbing alcohol
Peel off the covering of the tape on the new emblem
Center emblem over OEM emblem
Once centered, set the new emblem in place over the OEM emblem
Exert pressure on new emblem so it sticks.

You have just installed the new emblem!

I didn't get that from another post. So the Oem emblem is the waterfall logo? And I don't need to take it out just place the godhead over it after I clean it with the alchohol?

Option #2:

Take car to dealer.
Have dealer perform steps 1-5 above.
Pay dealer $50 for services rendered.

I would have had it today but my waterpump was damaged and the insurance company said it wasn't from the accident. So i took it to Ford in philly and had them repair it. Only problem is I won't get it back till monday.

I pulled the old emblem off when I did mine and realized it was supposed to stay on. Luckily, it pressed back on and stayed put. Just had to be careful with the little tabs.......

You could have replaced the water pump in about 30 minutes including burping the system.

Very easy chore and a $15.00 tool kit would have been plenty. Cheap part too! :)

It was overheating. I didn't want to risk further damage. It's snow on the ground and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket.
