A silver, a black, and a DTR. Pretty good for a car that Ford says doesn't sell. Can't think of any other model we sold three of today!!!! :D :D

Word of mouth advertising is starting to work for the Marauder?

WOW! Talk about a run? 3 in one day, WOW....
Ray, Reedmen's has more if you need them:)
Even the dealer I bought from is going to stock them again. In September they told me no more. Special order only?
Things do change........................ ....:)

The silver one was my demo. The guy's picking it up tomorrow. Web site probably hasn't been updated. The black one and DTR just came in today and got sold.

Just held a 2 hr training session for 12 new salespersons at North Hills L/M--including demo ride in my car--they are all fired up---makes a total of 20 sales personnel I've trained--now if they can get some Marauders to sell---if Ford won't train 'em I will--spread the word

Congradulations on selling 3 Marauders in a single day! What's even better is that you sold one of each color. I just hope that this is a trend for the Marauder, and not just a one day run...........

If the public actually knew about this awsome car, I bet you could put many a GM prospect into one of the MMs. My parents bought a late 2003 GM and paid within a few hundred dollars what I paid for my 2004 MM. My mom looked at both cars when she was making their GM purchase and would have grabbed the MM in aheartbeat, but my dad had never heard of it and was very comfortable with the GM, so thatis how they settled on the GM LS premium edition. Having seen mine and been educated on the wonderful features on my MM compared, they now regret the GM! You guys a the dealers were short changed with the lack of marketing on the finest car LM currently offers. My dad was always a FoMoCo owner and Ibelieve with all my heart that theMM would have set his heart on fire. I feel very bad that you(the dealers) were unfairly treated by the advertising/marketing people with no support from them on promoting and marketing the most exciting car that L/M has offered in years. it's adiscrace and a crying shame that even the company didn't give these beauties a chance! As the old saying goes, you can't hide your light under a bushel basket! I pray that FoMoCo wises up, hires a top notch advertising agency, and gets themselves back in the game! :shake: Mike

w/what RedMM wrote.............I was almost one of those people who bought another car instead of the MM for no other reason than never even hearing about the MM.
I was just about to purchase a black 03 Crown Vic w/the performance package. And literally the day before I was going into the dealer to finalize the deal by signing all the papers, another dealer calls me on the phone and says...."Hey Bill, last week you asked me if you can get a higher HP engine put in a new Crown Vic, and I just thought of something.......why don't you just buy a Marauder instead?" Now keep in mind that this salesman who said that to me didn't even have a Marauder to sell me!! This guy was just calling me for my own benefit! He told me to go on the Mercury website since I didn't even know what a Marauder was.
Needless to say I ended up buying a black Marauder that same week instead of the Black Crown Vic that I had previously picked out to buy. That was a close call. I would've been dissapointed BIG TIME when I was driving down the street in my new Crown Vic, and a Marauder passed by!!!! And that would've all been due to a BIG lack of advertising on Ford's part.

Billy, I wonder how many other people that same thing happened to, only they got the CV first....

I consider myself fortunate that the car salesman who didn't even have a Marauder to sell me was nice enough to give me a call. I don't imagine very many car salesman would've done that simply for my benefit like that guy did.
So I think that what you're implying is very true. I have no doubt that there are a number of people out there in CV's and perhaps even GM's too that when they see one of us driving by, they have a degree of anxiety and perhaps even frustration due to buyer's remorse. And to think that it's mostly due to the shortcomings of the Ford advertising dept.

It's not "Rocket Science" for a local dealers to educate (market to) their customers. It seems that Dearborn is not wholly to blame... Maybe mostly, though.:D :D
