View Full Version : Silverback in shop for paint

Well, the time has come to restore the peeling, rusting paint on Silverback's roof.:bigcry:

Mark and his dad Mark Sr. are going to strip the roof down to bare metal, sand, primer, paint and clear coat. Work will begin in the morning.

Hope to see the old dog in a couple of weeks.

I'll post pictures.

If it turns out good, then I'll have them do the front and rear valences.:banana::cuke:

Silverback is back home with new paint on the roof. Looks good, painter recognized that the Silver Birch is a color that is very sensitive to paint gun pressure. He had to jiggle with it to get the right shade. But he was successful. I'll clean up the car in the morning, the sun is going down and it gets too cold for me.

Unless your taking it to the same guy and he's doing the exact same repair / repaint knowing how much it costs is useless information.

Find a repair shop in your area and get an estimate.
