when doing the swap why is the cobra mass air sensor use. couldn't you just use the stock sensor in the cobra 50mm tube? any information on this would be greatly be appreciated.

simple answer, no you cant just swap the sensors from housing to housing, they are calibrated to the specific size of the tube.

swap to cobra maf, take the 2 out side wires, on the factory mm plug and extend them to a 2nd gen lightning IAT sensor and pig tail tot he lower intake and your done. polarity of the wires dosnt matter

you can use the stock cobra one, dont ask me how you hook it up though lol
