Mods:
-JDM Engineering dyno tune (very conservative - 380/515 to the tires)
-SCT Xcal3 tuner
-6psi lower pulley, 2.8" upper pulley (about 14.5 lbs boost)
-AutoMeter Lunar boost/vaccuum gauge in steering column pod
-Dantes Modular Performance "progressive" valve body in transmission (awesome shifts - fast & firm, shifts get harder as load/rpm increases)
-EGR delete
-JDM Engineering cold air intake
-Bassani off-road midpipes (no cats)
-Magnaflow catback
-Lightning Force Performance heat exchanger (fabbed aluminum single-pass)
-Belltech 2" drop coil springs (front)
-Belltech 2" drop hangers (rear)
-Line lock
-Traction bars (slapper-style)
-15% tinted windows
-Pioneer double-din head unit w/ DVD player
-Infinity Kappa 6x8's (4)
-Alpine "V-Power" amp
-Factory wheels stripped and powdercoated gloss black
-Bedrug
-shorty antenna
-Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in heads & fogs
-Expedition door handles (no key holes)
-03/04 steering wheel (perforated)
-Newer taillights and front corners from a low mileage L.
Maintenance:
-Trans flush 2x in past 18 months (overkill, but I like to make sure it's always fresh)
-Cooling system serviced/flushed
-Rear flushed, filled with Royal Purple & friction modifier
-religious oil changes
-fuel filter
-Ford OEM c.o.p.'s (all 8, installed 11/22/10)
-spark plugs (NGK TR6)
-Brakes- 4 new Ford OEM rotors, Hawk HPS pads
-wheel bearings (inner & outer)
-axle seals
-new front bump stops (shaved 50% to allow sufficient suspension travel)
-new shocks (all 4)
-new tires (all 4)
-new vaccuum lines
-new O2 sensors (2)
-re-painted: front bumper, all ground effects, rear bumper. (all had rock chips)
Other info:
-Seats are in great condition, but there's a small wear spot on the driver side thigh bolster.
-I slid off an icy road in February at low speed. Hit a street sign and it sc***** the bumper cover. Insurance paid for a new front bumper cover, then I paid to have the rest of the parts repainted (to get rid of the normal rock chips from everyday driving)
My truck is very conservatively tuned. I drive it daily as a commuter car and don't race... so I wanted it to be reliable & safe. There's very little timing in it. This tune made 380rwhp & 515rwtq. If you up the timing and get more aggressive, it shouldn't have a problem safely making 420-440rwhp.
I bought this thing with 110K on the clock. Re-did everything on it to make sure it was correct. Performed all maintenance work. This thing is ready to go... really. Just get in and drive. No issues.
130,700 miles. Runs, drives, handles, looks, and sounds great...
