Has anybody ever seen black chrome on our rims before? I'm thinking of doing this instead of powdercoating them black. Durability? Does it have that deep gloss look? I'm looking for something to compliment all the hard work I put into making this MM shine.

There is a semi transparent powder coat that looks like black chrome. I am having a friend do a chrome brush guard now. To me it looks nearly just like black chrome. Also Advance has a spray black chrome mini kit that has the base and clear, about $18. You might try it just to see if it would suit you.

Been interested in Black Chrome finish for wheels myself. Found a place in PA that does a BC powdercoat process. Will be heading over there in the next month to look at samples, if it looks good I'll leave my wheels to get done. 6-8 weeks and expensive at $250.00 per wheel. Done a lot of searching on the internet and checked out the local shops where I didn't like the samples they had available.
Wheel Collision Center, Bath, PA.

I plan to take my Qvale Mangustas' rims there to get them fixed due to road rash which was present upon my purchase of the car used.

I too was thinking of doing this. My brother had his trailer wheels black chrome powder coated and they turned out a charcole gray color. I found a place that selling black chrome paint, its not cheap but its the real thing. I need another wheel yet.
